Great product Mar 31, 2009

It's strong enough to hold my weight, but gentle enough my wife can configure it to suit her current use. We're in the process of remodeling and re-plumbing both bathrooms and the kitchen. This means we're fundamentally working from the floor to the ceiling.
The unit easily configures to whatever the current need and is solid and stable. I'd been looking at these kind of ladders for sometime before purchasing this one. I should have bought it years earlier!

Nice big swiss army knife - 2 thumbs up Jun 16, 2009

One look at the design of this ladder, and I knew that my work platform problems were solved. Besides the classic positions shown in the product description, I knew of at least 2 situations where this ladder would be a perfect fit, so I had the camera ready on 2 projects I used the ladder for (See the "customer images of this product" link). The ladder was a perfect fit in both projects that I imagined a ladder like this would be handy for. I won't bother reviewing standard use configurations like a-frame or extension uses. Think totally normal ladder as good as most and able to do things the others have not thought of yet :-)
First, the adjustment levers. The locking levers are flush mounted against the inside of each joint, and are set in from the edges of the ladder to keep them from snagging on anything if the ladder is repositioned. To open, gently pull one of the segments apart until it locks into place. To move to the next locking position, simple lift on the latch lever on each side until each locks in the open notch. Move the ladder segment to the next position (it will automatically lock in place) until you have the angle you want.
Continue unfolding until you have the structure you want. The wide thick rubber foot extenders make the ladder very stable. This amazing swiss army knife of a ladder should fit any project you might have or come up with. Use your imagination on positions. All locked positions I have found are very stable.

compact, lightweight ladder Jun 02, 2009

The big selling point of ladder was that it was compact, folding down small enough to fit into a car trunk. The ladder can be a little difficult to change from one position to another, but that may be because it is new. The ladder rungs are rather narrow. Outside of that, we are happy with our purchase!

Worth buying May 22, 2009
By My D. Vuong I gave this as a gift for my future step dad. He is 70years old but doesn't let his age slow him down when it comes to fixing things himself.
I was worried that he always uses a standard ladder without any one to hold it. But with this product I can feel safer knowing its more sturdy.
After stating that I do not recommend buying it from toolprice.com on Amazon. If you were to visit there website and have any questions about the product don't bother calling them, they are not there at all, they don't even have bankers hours.
So prepare to email them questions and wait a long time for a response.

Great Ladder Mar 15, 2009
By Raul B. Domingo

I love this ladder. It is light and easy to operate. Look out for sharp pointy aluminum. One of the release mechanism was not quite finished off for sharp edges. I covered the one with a bandaid and electric tape. That was the only blemish on an otherwise great ladder.
