comfy mouse pad with style Dec 30, 2007
By artwerk Very comfortable. Good size for most mice; could use a slightly longer surface. I'd really give it 4.5 stars for this reason. Surface works well for roller ball and optical mice. "Sticks" to your desk like it's supposed to. Looks like real black leather.
There is a matching keyboard wrist rest that goes with it that I also recommend.

I really like it. May 29, 2008
By S. Miles I just received the mouse pad today and so far it's very comfortable. I hope that it saves the battery in my wireless mouse. If not I'll just buy a laser mouse that hooks up to the computer. But anyway, I really like the pad. It's firm enough to not sink and soft enough to feel very comfortable.

Simply the best Feb 27, 2008
By David C. Oman This has been paired with my 5btn Microsoft Optical Intellimouse for the last 7 years and is an absolute dream. The gel pad supports my wrist perfectly, and due to the leatherette texturing it's very comfortable. I've had to replace it only once due to accidentally puncturing the gel wristrest; I'll definitely be replacing it with the exact same model again when the time comes. This is unquestionably the best mousepad I've ever owned.

I love this pad Aug 14, 2007
By Mossberg500 It just works, comfortable and a great addition to a keyboard wrist rest, also from 3M.

Previously good product, now lousy May 06, 2011
By Victor E. Vaile, IV I purchased one of these about 5 years ago, and it was great. The surface worked well for both the optical and ball style mice, and the wrist rest was comfortable to use. The bottom of the pad was tapered down, and with the surface friction of the rubber on the bottom of the pad, it stayed neatly in place wherever I placed it. Unfortunately, after much use, it was time to replace it. I purchased what I thought was the same model, however the significant lack of quality in the more recent production is painfully apparent. The pad still has a similar surface which should be good for staying in place, except that the shape of the base is such that when it rests on a desk, the edges of the entire pad area except for the rest curl up 1/8 to 1/4 inch off the desk surface, leaving room for papers, and dust to collect underneath, and warping the mousing surface such that I have to consciously press down on the mouse in order for it to keep in contact with the surface when nearing the edge. If I forget, and let go of my mouse when it's near the edge of the pad, the mouse coasts back toward the center of the pad, (which is shaped more like a bowl than a flat surface), causing my cursor to annoyingly drift away from where I'd positioned it. The gel pad is notably smaller than the previous product, and is less like a gel rest, and more like an old tire, as it has very little give, and is not nearly as comfortable to rest on as before. Overall, I'd say that 3M failed with their latest iteration of this product, and would not encourage anyone to purchase it.
