I installed these with the ALESW504824BL shelving starter kit.

The wheels go on easily once you figure out how to remove the bottom-stops in the shelf-tubing. My trick was to put a dowel rod inside the tube and throw it on the ground (dowel side first). The stop popped off easily.

There are two wheels with brakes and two wheels without - that's a bit hard to see by looking at the Amazon image.

These casters work perfectly on the 5-shelf, 36" wide RE brand wire shelving unit I bought at Target for $39.99 on sale (style #TA-RR-108, dpci#002-11-0184). I liked the shelving unit but I wanted to put wheels on it, and let me tell you - NOBODY, Not Anyone - at Target could provide any guidance on which brand of casters would be compatible or where they could be purchased. However, after some digging it became apparent that only one or two companies even make this type of product; Alera is definitely the brand that kept popping up so I went for it. BTW, the Amazon list price for these casters was slightly less than anywhere else I checked, PLUS I got free shipping. Given that the UPS guy needed two hands to carry the box to my doorstep, that's no small consideration.

Also: piece of advice. It took a lot more than a little tapping with a dowel rod to get the leveler feet inserts to disengage from the ends of the tubes. After trying the polite stuff other reviewers describe, we ended up using metal rod that looks like skinny rebar (about the diameter of a primary-school pencil). I held the tube to provide resistance while my husband banged on the exposed end of the metal rod with a hammer. The inserts popped out after a few good whacks - it certainly required some effort.

These casters are no joke. They are way overbuilt and do a great job of adding mobility to 500+ pound shelves.

Beware you need a 3/4 X 48 dowel to install them on "2x Alera SW504824BL Industrial Wire Shelving Starter Kit, 4 Shelves, 48w x 24d x 72h, Black" shelves.

This is a good product but after fiting the wheel the shelf is higher by 6 inches. Some of my door is low and the cart can not go througt without cutting the cart short. I hope they will lower the center of the stick so the wheel will not be so tall.
