By trying to avoid purchasing the "Official" (and expensive) Playbill binder, I decided to test this Avery binder... And it's PERFECTION.
I combined it with Avery Heavyweight Sheet Protectors, 5.5 x 8.5 Inches, Pack of 15 (77007), in which the Playbills also fit to perfection and I couldn't be happier!!!
So far, I've manager to fit 15 Playbills in. For the looks of it, I think this binder can hold up to 30. I'll update this review as the Playbill collection grows.
A must for Broadway fans!

I bought this binder in combination with the Avery Heavyweight Sheet Protectors, 5.5 x 8.5 Inches, Pack of 15 (77007), to store my broadway Playbills and other show programs. I was very pleased. The programs fit very well, however, because Playbills are bulgy, the binder is almost full with 20 playbills. I still would suggest this combination over the expensive "official" playbill binder.

I finally found the right size notebook May 01, 2010

I've been looking for this size notebook for quite some time. I had a very old one from 20 years ago that was worn out and couldn't find a new one. Perfect and great for my use. I am making my own "day planner" with this notebook. I'm so glad found it. I'm going to buy another one to use for a photo album with the sleeve protectors that fit this notebook.

- outer dimensions: 9 1/8" high by 8 1/4" deep by 3 1/16" thick, oriented as on a bookshelf
- chrome 2" rings, mounted on the back cover (hurray!)
- front cover pocket could hold a sheet 7 7/8" by 9"
- back cover pocket could hold a sheet about 6 5/8" by 9"
- possibly useful: a 2 5/8" wide pocket on the inside of the spine
- a thoughtfully designed label holder on the outside of the spine: thumb cutouts make it easy to insert/remove the label, and the back of a business card can be used
- black, textured vinyl (I assume) seems good quality
I'm very pleased with this binder. I don't expect anything on it to fail prematurely, but if it does, I will certainly edit this review. We are using it to hold LEGO instruction booklets, so it will get a lot of use/abuse from my 6 and 10 year olds. The Avery Heavyweight Sheet Protectors, 5.5 x 8.5 Inches, Pack of 15 (77007) are great for use with this binder and the common LEGO Company instruction size of just under 5" by 8".
