I've bought two of these boxes and at least one of most of the rest of the Cargo Naturals line for organizing. I bought the red spice color and I like it a lot. It's not a red crayon red, more of a deeper burgundy red and the black trim looks fairly classy. These are not going to be extremely durable boxes for rough use or overly heavy items, however I believe they are perfect for tidying up your storage in offices, etc. and sturdy enough to last a long time if you aren't throwing them around. I ordered one of my boxes through Amazon's warehouse deals as a 'damaged' item for a smaller price. When I received it, it was indeed damaged, with a crush on one side that was pretty ugly. I understand these products sometimes get crushed in shipment. I'm happy to say however the damage was cosmetic only and once filled and stacked along with my other, completely unnoticeable (and worth it, given I paid much less for it than the other). These are sized perfectly for most household papers and even spiral bound books. They stack nicely, and also are the same stacking dimensions as the shelf storage box in the same line, giving you taller storage that can be stacked with the same footprint. I prefer these to the taller version, however, as I think they will be sturdier in the long run than one that is larger and therefore, filled heavier.

All in all, I'm glad I got these and it's nice to find a product line that looks nice on a shelf like this. You can find similar boxes in stores like A.C. Moore, however in my opinion those boxes do not look as attractive as these.

These work wonderful because they are both functional and beautiful. Imagine stuffing away all those unsightly papers but still being able to leave the boxes out for display on a bookshelf and not having to hide them too!

It's basically cardboard. Don't expect it to be as solid and tight as a plastic box could be. But it's good and stylish enough to sit on a shelf and hide messy stuff inside.

This box is perfect for its size, functionality, and design and appearance. My cats would eat through my inbox if it wasn't covered up and the metal corners on this box are perfect chewing deterrents. It's big enough to hold more than just paper and it is aesthetically pleasing sitting on my granite desk (built into the apartment walls).
