O.K., maybe it's my bad for making assumptions. My laptop is exactly 16" so I bought this case thinking "well, they say it's 16" but there is probably a little wiggle room". WRONG. Sure, the outside of the case measures 16" but the interior is 15.1" (as is printed in micro-printing on the back of the lable).
I will say, if you have a laptop that's 15 inches, this would be a nice case. It does everything the description says, looks nice, has good storage room/pockets and appears well built. I'd recommend it 'assuming' your comp. is small enough to fit.

I had to return two briefcases to Best Buy because one was too large and one was too small. 15.4" cases do NOT work with a 16 inch laptop. A 17 inch is way too big. This case was perfect and it included free shipping. There is one other Caselogic 16" product, but you have to pay over $8 to have it shipped because it comes directly from the company. That is the zncF model (full size). So if you need the extra space you should get it. But this slimline (zncS) version holds a lot of stuff too.

This laptop bag is perfect. I bought this last March for my travel to the Philippines from Cleveland. This bag was a real security-friendly at the airport. I didn't take out my laptop from the bag since I didn't put anything in the only-laptop section of the bag. I put all the laptop's accessories in the other half section of the bag. All I did was slid the zipper to spread it like a butterfly then lay the bag flat on the conveyor. The TSA didn't ask me to take the laptop out from Cleveland airport to LAX to HKG then to the Philippines. The section where I slid the zipper to spread the bag like a butterfly had two elastic pocket that held my passport and boarding pass that made it very convenient for me to retrieve those two travelling papers whenever ask by the airport personnel. My 15.4 laptop fitted in this very light bag. It's lighter than my old laptop bag but serve the same bump protection. It had sling so I hang it on my shoulder when my hands were full and it had holder for the trolley when I wanted to put it above my trolley. Worth buying.

I bought this bag compared to some others because its a reasonable price, its not overly bulky, and has an airport friendly feature. So far I have not been disappointed. The bag is made of high quality materials and this really shows, the zippers especially are solidly built, which is a nice change from most laptop bags. The compartment for the laptop is well protected, and I haven't had any issues, nor do I think you will. Like any other laptop bag, this is not designed for you to be able to to drop your laptop from the second floor, and have it be undamaged, however it is padded well enough to survive the rigors of travel today. I am an airline pilot and have therefore been traveling with it quite a bit and have been taking it through airport security on almost a daily basis. I have not once had an objection from any TSA officer about leaving the laptop in the bag when I unzip the laptop side from the accessory side. The bag also has a feature were you can grab either both of the handles or the shoulder strap, pick it up and be on your way in just a few seconds. I can usually grab the bag with one hand and partially zip the two portions back together with the other, and slip it onto my overnight bag in less than 5 seconds, I then leave the security check point, and zip it the rest of the way at the next moving walkway or escalator, works great. I also love the size, its really not too bulky. The only complaint that i have with this is that there is really no space designated for the power adapter. My new laptop came with a smaller adapter so I just toss it at the bottom of the front pocket, but I could see someone that has a large adapter having an issue with finding a spot for it. I think this is also the one downside to this bag, even though I like the sammler size I wish it expanded so I could stick a few more things in there for the occasional meeting I go to, hence 4 stars instead of 5. There is a spot for an MP3 player (a smaller protected pocket) in the front zip-pocket of the bag, and i find that this works nicely for storing my travel mouse. There is also a "USB Stick" pocket, personally I use it for a USB dirve, but it could also be used to conveniently hold the receiver for your wireless travel mouse. Another thing I like is that it has easy access document/travel paper mesh pockets on the inside of the portion were the laptop/accessory case separate for screening. It seems to me that anytime you get your laptop screened you will be needing those documents, so it makes it easy access. The bag also looks professional. Every once in a while my airline calls for flight crews to only drag along bags that "represent our professionalism" I find no issue with this bag. Its all black from the outside, when everything is zipped up, and fits well on top of my roll aboard. Overall I am extremely happy with the bag and would recommend it for anyone that needs a small, versitaile bag to take along for travel whether leisure or business.

Perfect fit for XPS Studio 16 Mar 08, 2010

This case is light weight and has exactly enough room for my XPS Studio 16 laptop, an Intuos wacom tablet, the power cable and a few accessories. It will not fit much more at all, but I was not looking for a piece of luggage!
