Works like a charm! Jul 11, 2010
By Tyrone Wells I love this clock--and it was a fitting replacement for my last model. The last clock I had, by the way, could tell the humidity and temperature--but within my bedroom, those values didn't really matter--and I believe all the extra gears necessary for those meters just reduced the lifespan of that machine. This clock is exactly what you want--a solid, reliable, and relatively quiet, time keeping device. It's not radio controlled, and it's for the better. I've had the clock for about two months now and only had to set it once. Hasn't lost a minute. I will say that the large CLI logo is a bit garish, and the red second hand kinda reminds me of being in gradeschool, but it's all good. Additionally, in terms of volume, I have the clock directly above me in my small dorm room. When I want to hear the clock, I can hear it, but when my mind is even partially on anything else, I really don't notice it at all. When I am concentrating on it, it sounds no louder than the sound I make when I'm typing on a modern laptop.

Nice, simple and classic! Sep 12, 2009
By G. Richardson Nice simple institutional clock. Priced right, works great and is easy to adjust if need be. A good buy for someone who needs a clock in a shop, break room, classroom or place of work. I have no idea who Charles Leonard is, but he makes a great clock:-)

Numbers are EASY to read; LOVE IT! Jan 18, 2011

"clean, decent fan"
We needed a new wall clock where the numbers could be easily seen across the room. This one is perfect!
My husband often remarks now how easy it is to see what time it is! Having a second hand too is a definite plus.

Finally, a clock we can SEE! Feb 02, 2010

We got this clock to replace an atomic clock that was difficult to read from a distance. We use it in our extended kitchen, up high over the sink, so we can tell the time at a glance from anywhere in this large area. It works great! I've noticed that, while standing very near it, I can hear its audible ticking sound. This is not a nuisance at all, since the sound is not loud, and very soon it's not noticeable at all. We are very pleased with this very serviceable addition to our home.

Loud ticker Oct 28, 2011
By Happy Shopper At night I could hear it tick from the other side of the room. Made entirely of plastic including the cover; the only thing that's "quartz" is the internal timekeeper. Overall it felt like this clock would be good in a classroom or institutional setting, but not in a home.
