5Best. Pencil. EVER.  Jan 18, 2008 By French Freak
I know it might sound a little crazy to feel this strongly about a mechanical pencil, but I CANNOT overstate how great this one is. The weight is perfect, the grip is not too hard or too soft, the barrel isn't too narrow or too bulky... I used one of these when I had to write a 3-hour comprehensive exam for my MA and it was a lifesaver! Obviously my hand hurt by the end of it, but it was far more comfortable than it would've been. Plus the pencil grips the lead firmly so it maintains a nice thin line, which significantly improves legibility, even when you're in pain :) It's true that the eraser is on the small side, but I find that to be the case with most mechanical pencils. I carry a retractable eraser anyway, so it's never been an issue for me.

I used to own two of these, but I lost one about a week ago. I came to Amazon *just* to buy two or three more "just in case". THAT'S how great this pencil is.

5The only pencil I use.  Jan 16, 2006 By Paul Webber
I realize that everyone has a different taste and that you need to test writing instruments to make sure that you've got the perfect one for yourself. However, this is definitely my favorite.

I have tried many different mechanical pencils and this is my personal favorite choice. I have used it consistently for many years now and can recommend it without hesitation. Yes, the eraser is not very useful, as it is kind of small, but the pencil is light and the grip is well done. Because the majority of my usage is for note taking I don't do a lot of erasing any way. Maybe yours would be different if you do a lot of editing on your pencil work.

Overall, I highly recommend it, but realize that you have to try them out for yourselves. Do what I did, try to get it ordered at work, then see if it fits you!

4Great, but some bad points  Mar 07, 2009 By The Reviewer "THE"
The pencil is great. If you're looking for a cheap and professional pencil, this works great.

PROS:
The point of the pencil is very sharp, making it much like a drafting pencil.
The chrome metal finish looks great.
Delivery was extremely quick, I got it two days after ORDER, not shipping.

CONS:
The long tip is thin and easy to break, and you can't "push it in".
The words W-402 are extremely obvious.

4Super Pencil  Feb 16, 2008 By CALguy "MATH yum!"
This was a great buy with very reasonable shipping, the only thing was that I wanted to give one to my friend and the pencils did not come packaged. Although they are new and in great condition. Overall very satisfied with this product and the service response time.

5The only pencil I use too!  Mar 04, 2006 By Kero-chan
I share the same thoughts. I never thought I would be so attached to a pencil, but I can't write without this one. The eraser is small but if you carry a decent eraser with you it shouldn't matter. This pencil has a great grip. and weight. Fantastic for note taking for for drawing anything that you want to have look crisp and clean. If you use this pencil, trust me, you won't want to use any other mechanical pencil.
