Because this item didn't have pictures of the inside of the cabinet, I was a little worried that the drawers wouldn't pull out fully like those proper office-style file cabinets, or that it would have some cheap frame to hold the hanging folders. But fortunately, it's just like a standard office file cabinet. It can fit letter size and legal size documents, pulls out fully, and includes the cross-bar things, so you can decide how wide to make your hanging folders. It's very sturdy and well-constructed, slides smoothly, but you need two reasonably strong people to carry it to its final position. The spouse and I had to unpack it in our driveway and carry it into the house. The dimensions listed are accurate, and our new file cabinet fits very well in our little home office. My old cheap-ass file cabinet (that would not pull open fully because it could fall over) is finally gone! Yay!
