4Love these  Feb 11, 2008 By Booktress "Betsy"
I bought these scissors for my daughter when she was about 2.5 or 3 and we have used the same pair for our other two children as well. The child does not have to struggle to get the scissors open because they just pop up! Have you ever seen a small child use a regular pair of children's scissors? They have one handle in the left hand one in the right so that they can pull the scissors open. Not so with these. :)

The only thing that I find disappointing about these is that they are so hard to find in stores. :(

5Easy to use and safe!  Feb 27, 2008 By Seacell
I read the first review for this product and I decided to buy this after considering other products. I just love it! My son is 2 years and 9 months old and he is able to cut paper without difficulty. He used it as soon as he got it out of the package. He really likes using it. Crafts time is now much more fun! I ordered two and I'm giving the second one to our goddaughter who is 4 months younger than my son. I really recommend this product.

2I'd like better quality  May 05, 2008 By Kimberly Kean "BLTmama"
I purchased these scissors for my two year old. The first pair came off of the plastic so when you cut the metal part just moved up and down. The second pair teeth rub when you try and cut something. they were a good thought but my son has a hard time figuring out how they work.

5Safety concerns  Sep 24, 2009 By E. Chandler
I used these scissor in a toddler classroom and was amazed at how well and how quickly young children were able to learn to cut. I was very concerned to read a review that said there were California safety warnings on the package. I have just spoken with Fiskar customer service and learned why the warning was on the package and that it no longer is there. I just bought several pairs for my grandchild and I recommend them for any young child who is learning to cut.

3Very tight, so hard to cut with it  Feb 27, 2010 By Mommy in Texas
While the spring mechanism makes it easy to OPEN this pair of scissors (it practially remains open unless if you force it to close otherwise), my almost 3 year old daughter isn't strong enough to close this pair of scissors. So she ended up using both hands to make it happen. So far it's not working out well for us. Maybe when she's a little stronger it'll work...
