A Must Have Product!!! May 11, 2008
By L. Marshall I've been using this product for about 10 years and love it! It's a must have if you have kids - they won't have to carry (or lose) a house key. It's also a good safety system in case someone is home alone and gets hurt - you can tell someone how to get in and help. No more making copies of housekeys for friends, relative or housesitters. You can change the combo as often as you like. I've bought several for family members and just got two more for friends. I highly recommend this keysafe.

plastic buttons break Nov 29, 2008
By W. Weaver This key box works really well and it is a great idea; however, the plastic buttons break internally leaving the key box innoperable. I have two of them and one had to be removed to be opened and now the other one is having the same issues. I now keep a spare key in our main key box so I can open my shop if the lock box breaks again. This began to happen after about 1 year in operation.

A great alternative to a key necklace or hiding a key Mar 05, 2012
By adisky I purchased several of these to place on outbuildings. It gives the ability to keep your key with your building, but you can't get the key without the right code. I don't think breaking into the key box is much of an issue, because if you were to go through the motions of trying to break into this thing, you'd already be at the mentality of breaking and entering, so what's stopping you from just smashing a window?
The code can be 1-9 digits. You decide the code by simply turning a slot 180 degrees for each number. Note: codes are not order specific, if your code is 1-2-3-4, then 4-3-2-1 or 2-4-1-3 etc will work.
What the manufacturer doesn't tell you until you open the package is that the owners manual claims that it's not for security purposes. Then what is it for? Its advertised as a locking key box, but the disclaimer reads "not for security?" That's why I gave it 4 stars, not 5. I bought it for safe keeping of keys with easy access, but the disclaimer tells me that its maybe not so safe.
Good product, added safety Mar 30, 2012
By Cat West I'm an older man living alone. I have a reliable 5Star pendant (actually a tiny cell phone) so they can call emergency workers if I fall or become ill. I use this product so emergency personnel can quickly get into my apartment. It's just big enough for 2 regular keys; works smoothly, and locks and unlocks reliably. However, I keep a key with a good friend just for the added safety when this malfunctions (as do all products, eventually).
Best hide-a-key solution Nov 07, 2011
By Cakes This thing is super durable and easy to install. Better than hiding a key in a fake rock. If someone finds the rock, you're screwed. With this thing, it's secure and always there in a pinch. We have stucco walls, so we opted to install it on our wooden gate/fence.
