I needed a good way to secure my firearms from the kids and unwelcome eyes. This cabinet seamed to have everything I had on the must list. The cabinet arrived quickly and was in great packaging. The directions provided with the item were not as inclusive as some may want but honistly putting rifles in a box doesnt require must direction. The mounting options for the barrel rests are great. You can adjust the barrel rests to fit any number of rifle lengths and combinations. I did have to put some effort into setting everything up inside the safe. I was happy to do this because it allows me to set things how I want and not to some standardised pattern someone decided would work for all guns. The effort paid off because all of my rifles are well positioned and safe from damage. The key points are below.

Well made steel cabniet, welds are clean and consistant. Plenty of protective material provided to line the cabniet to prevent scratching your rifle. Storage area covers more than enough room for ammuntion the avarage shooter would have on hand. Shelving is solid and doesnt interfear with the placememt of rifles. The overal look of the cabniet is great.

Bottom line: This is a great product that should more than meet the needs of weapon storage for most shooters. The price is unbeatable thants to Amazon's free shipping. I have recomended this cabinet to all my shooting buddies.

I received my gun cabinet with 3 dents in it. The Styrofoam that was used to protect it is only a half an inch thick. This gun cabinet is constructed with similar materials and construction that you would see in a cheap file cabinet. There were also two large stickers stuck on the cabinet using very sticky adhesive that is difficult to remove. One sticker was on the front door and the other was on the side. Along with the stickers there was also packing tape stuck on several locations and the adhesive was very sticky and hard to remove. The screws, washers, and nuts for the shelving were thrown into the cabinet loosely and I had to search around the cabinet to find them.

This cabinet gives you a convenient place to store your guns and will make them inaccessible to kids or guests. It won't stop a thief and there is no fire protection, but that's normal for this price and weight range.

My only beef with this cabinet is the poorly conceived plastic bits that are supposed to support the barrels of your long-guns. These U-shaped pieces don't provide enough clearance between the barrels and the cabinet wall for rifles with scopes or protruding front sites. Also, they are attached to the cabinet wall (by the end user) with cheap double-backed tape that doesn't work. After about 24 hours, most had fallen off just from their own weight. I plan on making my own barrel-rests out of wood and bolting them to the cabinet walls.

As others have said in their reviews, it arrived with several dents. Its price was a bargain so I kept it anyways. Obviously the shipping container is not up to par and manufacturer needs to work on improving it.

My son was about to build himself a gun cabinet when I found this at Amazon. It holds everything he has and is very secure. One of the reviews really helped me decide and it came undented and unscratched, so I was happy. He and his wife were surprised and thankful to get all his collection out of reach!
