Great Monitor Stand But with a Catch~ Feb 24, 2011
By Reviewlock Holmes The Kantek Monitor Stand is one of the better ones you can purchase. It is sleek, attractive, and holds Monitors, or laptops, perfectly. There's no wobbling or bending down of the elevated area whatsoever. The surface area is large enough, both width and length, to support a variety of monitor bases. Whether smaller LCD ones, wide screen or CRT bases, and even kickstand monitors, which the base is basically the bottom fo the screen. The feet are made of heavy duty rubber. Strong enough to hold anything up but will not scratch the surface of your desk (tested on tempered glass desk). Even the label is possitioned and sized perfectly. It doesn't "scream" who the manufacturer is and actually adds "class" to it. There is even a label underneath to ensure you that it's safe to use and does not release "Spooky" fumes.
Now, notice that huge But in the title? Hopefully you did because this is where the stand comes short. It only elevates it by a total of 2 and one fourth of an inch. That's it. So it offers just enough room to place a non-gaming keyboard, smaller laptop, or DVD/Blu-ray player underneath. Even low profile speakers will not fit, obviously. The surface adds an extra inch to it so overall it will elevate it around the three inch mark(a tad bit more).
If you're looking for a monitor stand that holds up, doesn't elevate it too high, and doesn't scream cheapness then would highly recommend it. If not, might want to look around.

Logitech MX5000 Keyboard Fits Jan 19, 2011
By Tim J. My Logitech keyboard fits perfectly under this riser. This has been a big concern for me when shopping for a riser. I found that a lot of the monitor riser/stands available are not wide enough to handle a lot of the nicer keyboards. This riser is very sturdy and it comes assembled already. It's exactly what I expected.

Solid, low-profile monitor stand May 24, 2011
By Movie Fan Was looking for a well-built (but unobtrusive) stand to put my all-in-one Gateway PC on (with kickstand in back). This product exceeded my expectations. It's built solid with strong, high quality, high-impact materials. And I love the low profile. It also easily allows me to slide my wireless keyboard underneath. Very pleased with this purchase.

Nice monitor stand Apr 11, 2011
By indserco Monitor stand is a nice size and shape to raise monitor to a good viewing height and allows plenty of space to slide keyboard underneath when I need more space open on desk to work.
The right size for a laptop and keyboard Apr 27, 2012
By Ron Nobody mentioned this in other reviews, so I had to just hope that it would work with a laptop on top and a normal keyboard stored underneath. Turns out that everything fits perfectly. I'll probably get more.
