Very good but not perfect Mar 06, 2008
By Abester I needed a basic thin wireless mouse that I could pack into my laptop PC carry bag that wouldn't create a bulky avocado sized lump. The Kensington SlimBlade K72283US (Ice Blue color) fit the bill almost perfectly. I found mine on Amazon for $10 less than the Kensington K72285US which is the identical product except in a deep blue color. The deep blue model would have netted out to the same price but only after dealing with the hassles of a mail-in rebate.
I like the fact that Kensington micro USB transceiver can be stored inside the mouse when it's not in use. I don't like the fact that the micro transceiver isn't the smallest available in the market. When in use, it protrudes out from the laptop USB port by almost an inch.
As a basic mouse, the Kensington tracks well, feels OK in your hand, and gets the job done.
I have a couple minor complaints about the plastic finish and the scroll wheel. The plastic is extremely smooth and it would have been better if there were just a tiny bit of texture for better grip. The same goes for the scroll wheel. It has a fake plastic chrome finish and I find my forefinger slipping over the wheel sometimes instead of turning the wheel. A rubber finish or better texturing would help.
The mouse will also function as a wireless presentation "clicker" allowing you to move forward or backward in your PowerPoint or similar presentation software up to about 25 feet away from your PC.
I was able to get all the features that I wanted to work without having to install the Kensington supplied software. I plugged in the USB micro RF transceiver and the mouse just worked. There's another feature that allows you to tilt the scroll wheel left and right to pan left or right in your presentation or browser and that might require the software but I haven't tried it.
Overall I'm happy with the Kensington SlimBlade mouse when traveling with my laptop PC. For more extended use at home, I prefer my larger Logitech wireless mouse.

Fine little mouse Mar 27, 2010
By A. Christy The Kensington Slimblade Presenter Mouse is an excellent wireless mouse. It functions incredibly easily; just plug the receiver into a USB port and you're all set. It's also very portable, and the side-scrolling tilt wheel is a nice little bonus feature. The presentation mode has limited usefulness; it's probably only really effective for PowerPoint productions. I downloaded a driver to enable the presentation mode for my Mac, and all it does in iTunes is to allow remote scrolling through menus. In Quicktime, the presentation mode allows you to scroll through whatever movie is playing, but not to resume play, which is sort of limiting. However, I do not count this against the mouse, because I view the presentation mode as kind of an extra feature anyway, and the fact that it functions in this respect at all is worthy of praise. If you're looking for a quality wireless mouse, this is a good choice. If you're looking for a presentation tool, you'd probably be better off getting a more sophisticated remote.

Great Presentation Mouse Apr 12, 2009
By J. Hails I've used the Kensington SlimBlade Presenter Mouse in my classroom for about a month now. It is great. It fits nicely in my hand and the controls are easy to use - even the scroll wheel. It has good range so I don't have to stay near my laptop anymore. And it is very handy to be able to use it as a mouse when I need to do something on my laptop.
I used a presenter by another manufacturer before I bought this one, and the Kensington one is much, much better!

Beatiful and Excellent Nov 30, 2007
By yn I have purchased and used more than twenty mice of both wired and wireless ever and finally I found the most excellent mouse. This is it. Wireless mice are attractive but many of them are a bit delay on the screen against the more. I tried "LX7 Cordless Optical Mouse" which didn't follow my hand's move so I quited to use soon. "Targus Wireless Notebook Rechargeable Laser Mouse" was so-so, but when I make a draw clip art by myself for PowerPoint presentation, I got stressed to move. 'Wired'-Microsoft Notebook mouse 3000 is still even better.
And this mouse. When I took it from the box, I was surprised at the thinness. More surprised at the ultra small USB dongle which comes from the mouse body.
The mouse color is even better than the product image. It's more darker color rather than I imaged.
Then I tried to use this mouse and the holding this mouse is a new experience. The design of this mouse is nothing to say and, and, and, I think this mouse gives me the most accurate track of my hand's move ever!
The presentation function works fine, but the only one thing that I was disappointed was that it didn't have no laser pointer. I thought "Presentation Mouse" means that it is including a laser pointer, but it doesn't have.
I checked on Kensignton's web site, I found that they had SlimBlade Presenter _Media_ Mouse and that will meet my (and perhaps our) requirement. But the media mouse is even more expensive than this one. The price is more than $50 even though we have MIR. So totally, purchasing this mouse might be still more realistic solution!

Amazing Apr 01, 2009

This is an excellent wireless mouse. The USB transmitter fits entirely into the mouse (when not in use), and clicks into place. To release it, there's a button on the other side, which causes the transmitter to pop out. I've used this mouse to give ppt, and pdf based presentations, and it works very nicely. I didn't have to install the software that came with it for it to work properly on Windows Vista.
