I've used this Monthly planner for about 30 years! Oct 08, 2009
By Robert Schoen The DayMinder Monthly planner is, basically, a "Month-at-a-Glance" system. I first saw it when the dean of my graduate program at UC Berkeley used it at a meeting and I asked him about it. At the time I, a lowly grad student, was using some fancier system with more pages and more space.
I figured, if it's good enough for the dean, I should try it.
I LOVE having the whole month visible in front of me, and I've developed methods to use it effectively. It fits into my pocket. I took all my addresses, phone numbers, etc., and put them on an Excel spreadsheet and reduced it, then fit the pages into the back of the planner. Thus, separate systems. This is a PLANNER--where does it say it has to be an address book, too? In the fall, I order the next year's planner. This thing costs less than $5, and is much easier than any mechanical or phone or iPod device I've ever seen. I wouldn't switch for anything.
I give it 4 stars instead of 5 stars because the cover is cheap plastic. I bought a leather cover and use it for about 4 or 5 years, then replace it. The planner itself is what I'm buying, and will continue to buy.

Not Practical Jan 26, 2009
By Mark Only a single page provided for names and addresses and a tiny space for telephone numbers, which, for most people, won't work in this age of multiple phone numbers.
