This product is not well made. It was assembled in a third world country and the workmanship shows it. Most definately not worth the 46.00 I spent on this including shipping. Go to your local walmart if you are looking for one of these.

I was pretty dissapointed witht this bed table even though I use it often. The wood is not only unfinished bt its uneven. My grampa could do a way better job in his woodshop! To be honest, if my grampa didnt live across the country, Id take it to him so he could fix this thing. Its a piece of crap! The draw on mine is so tight, it doesnt move so its pretty much worthless. Dont waste your money.

I purchased this UZO 1 reading stand because the design was precisely what I had been searching for. However, the workmanship was disappointing. The tabletop was warped at the adjoining seam. Also, the wood used for one of the supporting wedges underneath was discolored and dirty-looking. I reported the matter to the dealer, Super Deal. They very cooperatively arranged for prepaid return shipment and sent me another one.

Second reading stand: same warping, a dark, hollowed-out knothole on the underneath wedge, and a stained underside of the drawer. I wrote and sent photos directly to UZO 1 regarding the shoddy workmanship and the use of obviously leftover scrap pieces. In a follow-up conversation, the Sales Manager said he had chastised the overseas production people. Another pre-paid return shipment was made for the second stand. Meanwhile, the sales manager said he looked through a "reasonable amount" of stands at his warehouse, but could not find any that were without some defect. When I offered to accept one of them at a discount, the manager stated that he could not give me a discount because he did not sell me anything and to ask for a full refund from the dealer.

Still needing this particular design of stand, I ordered one through a different dealer, not realizing it would come from the same warehouse as the others. Sure enough, it also has the same defects PLUS a drawer that jams!

Dealers do not make the products, so this kind of situation can be financially unfortunate for them. As for me, I have no confidence whatsoever in purchasing anything else from UZO 1 International.

We bought this item for a friend as a birthday gift. She is very happy and totally loves this item. It is very handy and multi-functional. The unfinished wood gives a unique look. Adjustable legs are a plus. Light-weight and a perfect choice for laptop if you are complaining about the heat when it is on your lap :D
