My living room has no lights in the ceiling, so I needed something for light. This lamp tucks under the sofa and when it's on bright, it lights up the whole area. I love that it can be dimmed as well! My brother has one, and it just turned on and off, so I assumed this one did too, since it was way cheaper than what he spent ($250) so it was a pleasant surprise. I got it within 3 days of ordering it, it came on Christmas eve, I thought I'd have to wait until after the holiday rush. Again, pleasantly suprised! All bulbs are still working, and lamp seems very durable. I'm very happy with the product and the company who sold it.

Very easy to put together! Also looks great and fits perfectly behind our sectional. The floor plate is a great design to let it fit in a small area...so no space lost in the room.

HORRIBLE PACKAGING. DAMAGED PRODUCT. MISSING PARTS Mar 08, 2012 By C. Baumann
I received this yesterday and when Fedex delivered it the driver told me the box was severely damaged and made note of it in his computer. There was a large hole in the side that was taped up and the box was all bent. Upon opening the box the weighted base was cracked and damaged on the corner (this is where the large hole was) but everything else appeared OK. I was considering looking past the damage on the base and began taking all items out of the box. I then found that I was missing all the assembly hardware. It says I should have 1 FLAT WASHER, 2 NUTS, 5 PLASTIC SCREWS AND 1 SCREW. I have only located what I think is the FLAT WASHER. So now I have a lamp that I can't even assemble and is damaged. I should have took the advise of the other negative reviews, but thought I'd gamble...I lost.

Amazon is being good though, I am shipping this back tomorrow with a prepaid return label. I secured everything back in the original box and added a ton more tape. I just hope it makes it back in one piece and I get my refund. It is being shipped back via UPS so it should, but it's a drag I have to take these extra steps and have to drop it off at a UPS site as pickup would be an additional charge. Customer service wants me to purchase another and they offered me 1 day free shipping, but I don't think I will bother. I don't want to receive another damaged product.

I guess you get what you pay for. My advice...DON'T BUY.

This thing was broken every way possible! Base was SHATTERED, pole was bent, union for arms was bent, 3 of 5 lamp shades were bent! I had to modify every piece, tap new holes and use my own machine screws to put it together! Then I look at the reviews and see that I'm not the only one to get screwed by this company...

This lamp does look nice and does work good. But the quality is somewhat poor. I had some quality issues when assembling it. The seller did send me replacement parts to correct the problem.
