4Cute pencils!  Oct 29, 2007 By Grandma GG
These pencils are really cute and my granddaughters love them. My only complaint is that the patterns look as though they are created for young girls, yet the leads are thin and fragile. I wish Papermate would come up with a mechanical pencil that contains a heavy duty lead for youngsters similar to the sturdier leads used in drafting pencils. Also how about some extra eraser tips in the package? However, what Papermate is selling is the look, and they've done a great job with that.

3Not as pretty as picture  Mar 09, 2011 By jkk
The pencils looked so cute on amazon, but it real life, their not as pretty. In the picture, the body of the pencils looked slightly translucent, but in real life, they're fully white. The patterns are also darker than they appeared in the picture. I also kinda wish the top was shaped more traditionally so I could put my on erasers on top.

5Favorite Pencils!  Aug 15, 2010 By Shelby M. Sorenson "smsorens"
I'm a college student and these are my favorite pencils! It's hard to find them in stores so I was very happy to find them on Amazon!

1Trashy Frail Waste!  Mar 06, 2011 By Tomasina M. Covell "Tomasina ChicaWolverina"
Pros: They have a nice designer pattern that's really sort of wallpaper, and the colors are sort of nice.

Cons: The erasers will fall out of the holders because both the opening and the erasers supplied with them are nearly if not more than a tenth of a millimeter off. I had to get the long erasers for the twist up and down type of mechanical pencil erasers and cut those into shorter sections and fit them in instead, and even then they could have been a little tighter. And these erasers are also serving as the cap covers for the spare lead chamber too, to they have to be on very dependably as well. Also the clip on the pencil has a gap of about two millimeters which makes it too loose for any use.

Really I'd have to say this "Expressions" model is a useless abortion that I'm burned about having bought. And there are far better Paper Mate mechanical pencils like the Paper Mate "SILHOUETTE" and the "Clear Point" series that are vastly superior to these and just nicer to own, and posses non of these flaws. God even the cheapest BIC mechanical pencil is better than the Paper Mate "Expressions".

I think I'm liking Pentel's line of mechanical pencils and their wonderful "Click Eraser" that's the best I've ever seen, and is at least as good as the best drafting and art erasers, and it took me so long to getting around to try the "Click Eraser" too, so I was shocked at first.
