Quality pen that fits Jul 13, 2010
By A. Downey Needed a good pen for my Army uniform. It fits inside the the pen pockets of the new Army ACU uniform. The barrel is smooth, thin and there's no rubber grip that gets in the way. The size also makes it a great pen for a checkbook or organizer notebook.
The pen is small, but stainless steel, so it's got a bit of heft to it for its size. It feels like quality.
The spring is strong, but the clicking mechanism is smoothed. Maybe there's a buffer or something so it's easier to click than the spring makes it feel. The button is rounded so it feels good on the thumb.
I'm mostly disappointed by the lack of places that sell this pen. Office supply stores used to sell them, but not anymore. Cheaper plastic pens with rubbery grips, there. Most places sell the Zebra pens, but those are made in Indonesia, where the Parker is made in the UK. I feel better about supporting a British company. Also, as someone else noted, you can't just buy a Jotter with blue ink. You have to order that refill separately.

A great pen for cheap Dec 02, 2009
By John Armour This is a great little pen. Smooth, does not show wear, and is light in the pocket. Apparently others share this opinion, as I've lost two over the past 5 years.

A good pen for a young entrepreneur Dec 21, 2009

This pen was a present for my son, so his appraisal is what I will send you. It is well-designed, and writes very smoothly. Since it is metal, not plastic, scratches don't show.
I was so pleased with my son's pen that I bought one for myself. My old jotter had run out of ink and I had to buy a Staedtler refill because I couldn't find Parker locally. When the new pen arrived, I noticed that Parker refills write more smoothly than other brands.

Reasonably priced attractive pen Nov 05, 2011
By Berta Dora I work in a rather casual work place but had to get a pen for special occasions, where I would have to appear more professional. However, I did not want to pay a lot for a pen because I know pens get `borrowed'and `lost'. This pen was affordable but looks quite decent. Nothing fancy, but professional and classic. It writes well but for real writing comfort I prefer thicker pens, like the Parker 1M which is why I am giving only 4 stars. But the advantage of the Parker Jotter over the Parker 1M is that the Parker Jotter fits into the pen holder of my portfolio. If I try to place my 1M pen into that pen holder, I can only fit the first quarter of my pen which kind-of works but looks really clumsy which is missing the point of the professional looking pen. It would get 5 stars if it could be really comfortable to write with and fit into my porfolio's pen holder. But for my particular situation, looks are more important than writing comfort and I won't be writing extensively with it either, it is just for occasional notes. So it really depends on your needs. If you are looking for a pen that writes really well and the size does not matter, you may have to consider a different pen, like the 1M (also available in steel). If you are only writing short notes and care more about the looks, this might be the one for you, just as it is for me.

A nice looking pen marred by cheap construction... Oct 23, 2011

This pen looks quite nice and writes pretty well. However the body of the pen is very thin and feels cheap. The pen even sounds cheap, as you click the top, or tap it on anything is is obvious that it is very thin and not solid. That being said, it's still a significant step up from the typical office supply store pens. So if you know what you're getting, you will probably be happy with this pen.
