 Nice way to get some more life out of old pens Dec 17, 2010

The G2 makes writing easy on the hand, but it tends to burn through ink very quickly. These refills let you get some more life out of the pens instead of just throwing them away. My original pens had 0.7 mm cartridges, but these 0.5 mm fit just as well.

I love G2 pens and, as a lawyer, go through a lot of them. Can't always find these pens with 'extra fine'- so refills are the way to go.

A matter of preference really. Not as smooth and dark as the .7mm. Pilot gel pens are great! Penmanship is smooth and gel dries instantly. Can write on damp paper without smudging.

I'm using these refills in a Rotring 600, which was apparently discontinued, causing ink refill prices to skyrocket.
As far as the ink is concerned, I've been using them in a moleskine notebook as well as a sketchbook I also purchased on Amazon. Both have relatively thin paper, and the tip rolls very smoothly over the pages. Not too much bleeding, and it is barely visible when flipping pages. Of the points, I prefer the extra fine point (0.5mm), as I find the 0.38mm to be "too" fine.
Seeing as this product works in my Rotring pen, I would not be surprised if it was also compatible with a number of other brands' rollerball offerings. I would definitely give it a try, seeing as for a couple dollars you can save immensely on your ink refills.
