I like this pen enough to actually review a pen. Dec 21, 2010
By C. Healy Title kind of says it all - I'm not one to review things often, but this is the pen I've been in love with for a few years, and I need to make sure other people are buying it so they keep in on the market and I don't have to stockpile 40 years worth, in an Elaine Bennis in Seinfeld sponge-like manner.
The pen writes so smoothly -- it almost feels like writing with a very very tiny sharpie. No smudging problems, pen looks sharp and feels sturdy. No caps to worry about losing.
I've tried many many other options, and I always circle back to this one.

Best pens for medicine Jun 06, 2010
By Traderjohn As a Resident, I write a lot, very quickly, on small forms. These pens haven't failed me. They write easy, precisely, and legibly until the ink runs out. They also feel great in the hand. They are a little more expensive, but I purchased a dozen online, so the cost was pretty reasonable. It's great to not have to think about pens anymore.

great pen!!!!!!!! Oct 24, 2008

I write all day and write on various paper quality and textures. this pen flows easily without the drag of ball points. it leaves a sharp crisp line, although if not used for a while the first touch of pen to paper will leave a smudge/larger ink blot. overall this is my favorite pen, andn buy it myself eventhough the office purchases an array of pens, unfortunately not the V5, my favorite.

Great pens with a few "buts" Dec 13, 2010

Pros: - Retractable - Refillable - Smooth writing, though not the most smooth - More comfortable than the stick version due to the softer grip -clip is metal, wrapped around the top, meaning that it is less likely to break
Cons: - Has the potential to "bleed" through paper. The ink is visible from the backside of the paper, but this is only a issue with cheap filler paper. - Those that are used to using the stick variant will find that the retractable version is not quite as smooth, this may or may not bother you. - No visible ink supply
If you want smoothness, don't care about the clip, and like to see how much ink is left, the stick V5 is a better choice.
If you want a little resistance when writing, a great clip, and want it to be refillable, the V5 retractable is a better choice.

One Great Pen Oct 17, 2009
By Christopher Bidlack Rarely do I fall in love with a pen, But I'm the Barbie and it's my Ken. Okay, the analogy's kinda gross, But over this pen I am not morose.
Buy a few and try 'em out, And you'll soon see what I'm talkin' about. And if the Pilot company should discover my rhyme, Send me a free box if you drop me a line.
