 Very nice design, that could use some tweaking Nov 23, 2008

I am an HVAC technician, and use this on the job to record my hours and fill out job sheets.
The design is quite nice because of the 'compartments' on this thing. You can keep extra sheets in the back cavity, filled out sheets can be secured in the middle, and then your current sheet clipped on top to write on.
Reason this isn't 5 Stars:
-Not super-sturdy. Its made out of aluminum, but quite thin. To me the thing feels flimsy - I'm sure it will last a while, but I would prefer a little more heft.
-A minor point, but the clip that locks in the current sheet of paper is aligned a little weird. When you have a new sheet of paper and try to slide it into the jaws, it will hit the bottom jaw. Therefore every time a new sheet is to be inserted, you have to start it in yourself. As I said a minor point, but it is an inconvenience.
Still is a good product, and I will continue using until I find one that's better made.

I needed a clipboard/ form holder that would fit in the pocket of my bunker coat. this is perfect. Seems sturdy. Already dropped it a few times and it's holding up fine.

I'm using this product in afghanistan as an inspector. It gets thrown in and out of trucks and holds up just fine. For the folks complaining about "sharp" edges, they should buy a plastic one so it can break in a few weeks. This thing works just fine for the intended purpose.

I have had the same clipboard for the past nine years. I work in Law Enforcement and I am on the road most of the time. This clipboard is great to slide between the seat and the console so it won't get thrown around inside the squad car like the larger more thick clipboards.
I would recommend this product for all new recruits and seasoned officers or anyone who needs a clipboard for inside a vehicle.

I bought this because I am often "out of the office" for my work and I need a folder that holds my papers yet looks professional enough to attend meetings with higher ups.
It is well put together and is sturdy.
My only complaint is that it does have very sharp corners!
I once dropped it in my car and it gave my dashboard a pretty deep permanent gash. If the manufacturer could find a way to round out the corners then they would have an excellent product.
