Won't write on slick surfaces Nov 24, 2009
By Chris Dragon I bought a five pack of these a couple years ago to write on CDs and laminated sheets. Even when they were new, all five had problems writing on these surfaces. I would have to keep stroking the same spot a dozen times till ink started to flow, then I had to write quickly before it stopped flowing. If I paused for even 5-10 seconds, I had to start over stroking a spot again.
These markers won't write easily even on two different brands of CD with textured coatings that are meant to be easy to write on. I recently got cheap blu ray discs that have no coating at all so it's like writing on glass, and these sharpies won't write on them at all. I also tried using these markers on the back of my credit card where normal pens always rub off, but after a few months the ink basically seeped into the plastic and spread out, forming odd blurry, faded text.
I give these pens two stars because if they can't write on slick surfaces or some kinds of plastic, where can they write that you couldn't use a regular pen on? Maybe metal.
I have no problems writing on slick surfaces with sharpie or BIC "fine point" size markers, but the sharpie line thickness always produces lettering too thick to write as small as I would like. After borrowing a BIC "fine point" recently, it seemed to produce a line a little thinner than fine point sharpies, so I'm ordering a couple of those.

Whats not to love? Dec 24, 2011
By Emily Kimball I am in an interior design class and use these frequently. They bleed a little too much for my liking but they last a very long timr.
Excellent pens Dec 05, 2011
By S. White These are excellent pens and the point is fine enough to use in even small writing.
They are perfect for singing your credit cards since the ink does no smear or fade as fast as normal ballpoint pens.
