Removes staples. Unable to determine "Deluxe" features. Dec 23, 2011

Sometimes the thought of writing a review is just funny. This is one of those times.
It's a staple remover. While I'm sure there are piece-of-crap staple removers that aren't made to last, I don't know what to say about this. I can verify that it, in fact, removes staples when combined with a human and minimal eye-hand coordination. I can also attest to the fact that it's reasonably well made, even though the top and bottom grip areas are a hard shiny plastic.
But "Deluxe"? I've found no qualifying attribute. There is no leather, no rosewood, no ivory. It does not have a USB port or companion iOS app. It's the first and probably the last staple remover I'll buy, but I may never know why it is considered "Deluxe". Unless that's just a new term for "this won't fall apart in a week because somebody cared enough to give it a chance of lasting."

Swingline hit a homerun on this little gem! So simple and functional, yet fun to use. We staple thousands of documents every year and, quite often, we need to remove the staples to scan or copy something. That's where this tool is so handy. Removes the staples cleanly and effortlessly with minimal damage to the paper (two small holes is all).
This staple remover reminds me of the Jaws of Life that firemen use to pry open car doors after auto accidents. I don't think this little tool would work on a smashed-in door, but it works great for removing staples. Highly recommended!

What can I say...it's a staple remover.
You pull staples out with it.
Chances are very good that you're going to tear a bit of paper out with the staple.
Especially if you're archiving old papers and our storage people won't take anything with staples.
.....
Just picture a box that's a 12 x 12 and filled with nothing but stapled papers.
I keep telling myself that this task is very Zen.
Who am I kidding, by the end of the day I'd like to take the box of staple filled irrelevant paperwork and throw it down the street right along with the staple remover.
Anyway....it works...the staple remover that is.
I haven't tried throwing the box down the street but if I do, I'm sure someone will stick it on Youtube for the whole planet to laugh at.
Staple remover?

If you need a good staple remover that does the job, go with Swingline. Store and cheap brands just don't do it. Swinglines last a long time, also.
