 Worked well for two years Feb 17, 2010

I've had the #42130 stapler since 2007-11 and it has done a great job assembling thousands of 2- to 3-page handouts for the college classes my wife teaches. In 2009-12 it started pausing briefly before stapling, and 2010-02 it quit completely. Since the unit has a five-year warranty I called Acco Customer Service and, after telling my story, I was surprised and very pleased that they just asked for my address to ship me a replacement at no charge.

This is a handy stapler to have around. I use it all the time.
BUT, be careful about trying to staple more than 10 or so sheets, because the unit will jam, and it's not easy to unjam.

I bought this item for the price and quality of previous Swingline Electric Staplers. I received it sooner than expected and I was elated. I registered it on-line and used it at work, stapling no more than 5 pages at a time. Less than 6 hours of starting to use it, it jammed and I could not un-jam it. I called the 800 number of the MFG and customer service told me that this model was discontinued 4 years ago, if I had known that, I would not have purchased this item. So now I am out the money I spent and I do not have a working stapler!

The electric stapler is okay for the size. It does its job. It also works for what i bought it for. I work at home and needed it to staple a tag description to a bag. I works.
