2arm extension grabber  May 14, 2011 By Pris Constantino
I am 5'4" and I wanted to use this grabber for things I cannot reach. It does hold a box of cereal or other lightweight boxes, but doesn't hold onto a single plate or dish. If you want it to bring a plate or dish down from a high shelf, forget this one.

3Works as Advertised  Apr 25, 2010 By papaya38
I bought it for my mother who is in her 70s, so she can pick up things she drops on the floor without having to bend over. She couldn't use it, because she couldn't squeeze the handle with her weak hands. My 75-year old father could use it without any problem. It's not exceptionally light, but not heavy by any means. I could pick up one sheet of paper with it. It's a pretty simple device, so I'm not sure how any of the others could be much better, unless they had some mechanism that didn't require squeezing.
