This chest was just what I was looking for to keep some important papers organized, while not necessarily needing a heavy duty fireproof box. This is rather lightweight, which actually makes it easier to move around & it can be locked if necessary.

Great Storage, Untrustworthy Lock Jul 18, 2011

I bought this chest knowing I did not care about the security of the locking mechanism. I wanted a case that would hold my papers in an organized fashion, would not take up much space in storage, and would also be lightweight enough to lug between my living space and storage closet.
This fulfills all my requirements and seems fairly sturdy to boot. However, the lock looks fairly weak and I would not trust this chest with any papers you absolutely must keep secure.

I needed a place to store all my documents and I think this chest does it perfectly. It fits both the Letter and Legal paper sizes, which is good. However, be advised that it does not come with folders so you will need to purchase them separately - and it can become more expensive than other similar solutions. Also, the locks seem really cheap and are actually weak, so this chest does not protect your documents from theft. Overall, this is a good product and I would give it four stars if it was a little less expensive and came with at least a few folders. I would only give it five stars if it also had stronger locks.

Lock works but numbers on dials are blurry and hard to distinguish one from another. You could easily stomp this open with a hard kick.

It seems just a little bit on the cheap feeling side, but overall it's a good case and I am satisfied with my purchase. I would not recommend this case if you have to travel with it a lot. Mine is just holding important papers under my desk so I expect durability to not be a problem.
The MSRP of this case, according to the manufacturer's website, is almost twice what it is here at Amazon and had I paid $100 for this case I would have been a bit disappointed.
