Nifty, easy-to-put-together, sturdy shelves Oct 08, 2007
By Coopersmith I bought some of these to make shelving in a storage area and was pleasantly surprised by how easy these are to stack together with no tools. My stack was sturdy, the shelves are adjustable, and I had no problem with any sharp edges. I was concerned about ordering from Target, as I have read MANY reviews complaining about their items being damaged in shipment, but all of these units arrived safely, each in its own box. I would gladly purchase these again.

Shelf flexes easily under load Dec 27, 2009
By R. Doyle It looks nice, assembles quickly, and for low weight uses (toiletries, shoes, kitchen items) this shelf will probably do fine, but I bought it as a desktop computer stand and it is too weak for that or any other heavy objects.
If you put any significant weight on it, you will see the metal start to bow immediately. When placed on the shelf, my computer will rock back and forth after a light touch. The computer is nowhere near the stated 200 lbs. load capacity, and even just pressing down with my hands made the sides of the shelf start to bow. While the flex in the metal will decrease noise due to vibration I'm going to find a stronger replacement and move this to a closet or something....

Great Value Oct 24, 2009
By William C. Boggs I think this product is an excellent value. It's plenty sturdy enough for the size (meaning it would be tough to put something on it too heavy since it's not very big). It's doing an excellent job for the situation I bought it for.

Stylish, Sturdy, Simple, Satisfied Sep 11, 2010
By Muscle Professor I bought this for a bookshelf to accent the modern stylish look of my home office. The measurements were exactly as described so it fits perfectly in the space I for it. I looks sleek. It is also very sturdy and easily accomodates the books and materials I have. The shelves are quite simple to put together and probably took me 15 minutes. It does not require any tools. Just make sure the shelves are right side up meaning the ledge faces down. You might think the shelf ledge should face up to prevent stuff from falling off but that is not how the shelf is designed. You will know you do not have the shelves facing the right direction if the legs are very wobbly. If this happens simply reverse the direction of the shelves and you should be fine. I am definitely satisfied with the purchase.

nice option for my need Nov 18, 2010
By Choromom I'm pleased with this shelf, though I would not want to use it for anything very heavy. It holds my flatbed scanner up out of the way very nicely. I do think it would sag if I were to put more weight on it, however.
