5One of the Better Ultra Fine Tipped Pens  Feb 08, 2011 By Vinya
This is one of my most favorite pens, and until I started using the Pilot G2, it was my favorite pen. The Signo pens are all excellent choices because of their fade-proof, waterproof ink. They dry fairly rapidly and leave a smooth, even line. It's hard to find ultra or micro tipped pens, and the uniball Signo is one of the loveliest ultrafine pens I've ever used. I've never had a problem with it leaking, although I sometimes find I've untwisted the body of the pen if I've been using it for a marathon writing or drawing session.

I favor the G2 over this pen for a few reasons: First, the ink in this pen is not a true black. It's a dark gray, almost faded black color, which you might prefer if you're concerned about bleed-through and using lightweight paper. Second, it's less ergonomic (for my hand), with a straight, non-contoured grip. Third, and this is a big one, I run out of ink amazingly quickly with this pen. I don't know if it's a more liquid solution that somehow drains more rapidly, but the uniball Signo lasts me maybe 1/2 to 2/3 as long as a Pilot G2 does, with no savings in cost to make up for it.

I've still chosen to give the uniball Signo a 5 star rating because a 4.7 does round up, this is a truly quality pen, and my priorities and preferences might not be the same as yours. If you're looking for an ultrafine or micro point pen, this is on the short list of the best options, and is definitely worth trying.

5Great pens.  Aug 27, 2010 By BigBeast
I like pens. Always have. Previously, my favorite pen was the G2 0.5mm. I liked how fine the 0.5mm point was, but I wanted an even finer point. I tried the G2 0.38mm but the ink was too thick causing dripping and ink-less scratching when writing. If you like a very fine pen, Uniball's Signo RT 0.38mm (micro point) pen is for you. The ink's viscosity is perfect to write without leaving ink-less spots or dripping, and has a very fine point. This is my new favorite pen and I don't see myself changing any time soon.

2Love the pen but...  Jun 25, 2011 By Gordon
I love the pen, but two issues:

a) the ink goes VERY fast, AND the ink resavoiour is not as thick as I'd like. It's thin and short and For this reason I would not buy again. Cheap skates. I mean it when I say it goes very fast.

b) the top portion pops off on occasion.

5The perfect micro point pen!  Mar 06, 2012 By Tiffany Hunter
I love these pens, they are my favorite. These pens are the finest point you can get next to needle point.

5My favorite pen  Mar 04, 2012 By Patratacus
The Signo Gel RT micro point is my one and only pen I use now. I just love the really fine yet smooth tip for writing. I do ink illustrations and sketches and I find this pen to be the best for that. The only down side is that once in a while if I'm too rough with the pen the ball comes out from the tip. Then I have to throw that pen away. That doesn't happen too often though.
